The RUSELPROM concern and AVL List GmbH, an international engine design leader agreed on joint work on energy efficient products
The RUSELPROM concern has signed a cooperation intent agreement with Austria’s AVL List GmbH, one of international leaders in the design of transport power supply units and measuring instruments.
Under the agreement, the parties plan a joint development of hybrid power supply units for the Russian and CIS motor-and-tractor industry. The joint plans also include searching for clients for RUSELPROM’s energy efficient products on the European and international markets. The agreement covers joint consultations of the parties and product uptake.
AVL List GmbH is the world’s largest private engineering company with an annual turnover of more than 700 mln euros. It deals in the development and testing of power plants and vehicles - explosion engines, transmissions, combined power stations, fuel elements, electric drives, accumulators, software, etc. Set up in 1948 as a design bureau, the company employs up to 2,000 people in its flagship factory in Graz (Austria) and over 4,500 people in regional offices and engineering centers in 30 countries of the world. AVL List GmbH has been developing transport hybrid power units for more than 20 years and participated in more than 120 projects, including joint projects with BMW, General Motors, Volkswagen, PSA, Daimler and others. AVL has created several competence centers to develop hybrid technologies.
The cooperation between AVL List GmbH and the RUSELPROM concern is based on the partners’ experience in the development and production of energy efficient and innovation products. In the last 2 years, the RUSELPROM concern has created a unique transmission for the universal tractor, launched a mass production of a gearless elevator drive, developed and produced Russia’s first hybrid drive for the city bus.
“We have set a course for the creation of a drastically new Russian developments capable of competing with the best international samples of electrical engineering and view this agreement as a success of our innovation strategy,” said RUSELPROM concern General Director Vladimir Dorokhin. “Our cooperation will help both parties widen their experience and know how, strengthen our market positions and help organize a joint development of new interesting projects,” Vladimir Dorokhin added.
