At the beginning of June in China there took place EMBA conference with top executive managers of the largest Chinese companies as participants. ROEL Group of Companies was represented by Lev Tretyakov, managing partner, and Artem Tarasov, ROEL Group partner. On behalf of Russian Investment Agency Sergey Stepenkov was present. At the conference the question of profitability and perspective of Chinese investment into Russian assets was highlighted. Lev Tretyakov pointed out that despite the significant sales turnover between China and Russia (more than 90 billion USD anually) the question of mutual investment still remains up-to-date. “Nothing must prevent the realization of the huge potential for cooperation and co-investment both countries possess”.
After the negotiations with Chinese investment funds having been held there was arranged a meeting in Russia with the largest agro-industrial company New Hope for working the projects up in cooperation with ROEL Group. Moreover there occurred the idea of setting up the joint managing company for the project management and for the project preparation for IPO on Chinese and Russian stock exchanges.
